Electric Power System

Electric Power System
+ It is shocking to imagine that the world has no electricity nowadays because it influence the daily life so much such lighting, travelling, supplying factory and so on as a basic. In addition, I am a person who enthusiast and wonder how to produce an electricity since I was young, after I tool a course in high school about electromagnetic especially in part of producing electricity by rotation  flux magnetic. As a result, I have little concept of electricity that way it urges me to explore my life in Electric Power System.

Power Electronics
+ In order to decide which major I desire in the future, I clearly think that I have to possess a talent and have met its equipments whether I am enthusiastic or not. In fact, I first have experienced using voltmeter which inverts direct current (DC) into alternative current (AC) and I am really interesting, but I do know what it is. Fortunately, in high school, I have understood much concept of it. Not only convert for DC to AC but it also changes from AC to DC. In addition, it contributes to reduce waste energy and improve economic of each country. Consequently, I want to become an expert of this field.

 Electric / Electronic Device
+ The motive that I select this field is to make the world especially Cambodia full of electronic devices. I am also the person who loves to use it for my study. It is really essential for everyone especially the students. For example the computers, the telephones, the electrical dictionaries, and all electrical equipments, all of these things, I always got benefit from these many and many. If I can study in this field so I am please with myself to produce many electric and electronic devices for people in reasonable price and truthful quality.

12What kind of field are you planning to study in Japan?
My desired field that I hope to study in Japan is Electric Power System because Japan is one of the countries which advance at providing high quality and safety of electricity. Japan became the third largest nuclear power user in the world over 55 nuclear reactors. I strongly believe that I can receive high technology at producing electricity, observe the excellent process at the manufacturer to improve electricity field in my county, Cambodia. Furthermore, I want to modernize the process supplying electricity in order to save energy, keep safe to the environment especially investigate new method instead of using fossil fuel.

13. What kind of impression do you have of Japan?
I am really fascinated by Japanese people because they are hard-working, friendly, optimistic and punctual on their works. Although Japan is an island country surrounded by ocean and suffers seriously with natural disaster such as earthquake, it still develops it economic strongly to become the third rank in the world. This is due to the characteristic Japanese people. In addition, they have strong commitment to preserve their culture like traditional clothes (kimono), traditional house marked from wood and thin paper. Final but not least, I am exciting of a unique tone of Japanese, a national holiday, Children’s day.

14Description of desired employment to be taken up after returning home.

After graduating from Japan I must come back to my beloved country, Cambodia. I first plan to work as a technician in public institution, Electricity of Cambodia, so I can devote myself to develop electricity in my country to become a high standard through what I gain knowledge in Japan. The biggest desired plan which I want to achieve in my life is to modernize my hometown to have enough electricity for supplying their life to be better after I have an adequate experience and network.

Statement of Purpose

My name is EANG Panha, I am a Sophomore, majoring in Power Engineering at the Institute of
Technology of Cambodia (ITC).
I wished to attend ITC since I was a high school student. I have always been interested in
attending ITC as they have such an excellent reputation in Cambodia, and they of course conduct
a brilliant Power Engineering course, which was always my desired major. Additionally, ITC has
many connections to the top electrical companies in Cambodia and comprehensive engineering
schools abroad. I believe that I will gain better knowledge in my chosen field from ITC than I
could from any other institution.
Being a Power Engineer has always been one of my goals. I have always been interested in the
generators used in my neighborhood that are run by diesel, and I often wondered about the way
such generators work when I was as young as 6 years old. Fortunately, after taking a course in
Electro-Magnetics, I came to understand more about my interest. Not only has my education thus
far provided me with a strong foundation of knowledge in math, physics and the sciences, but I
am also simply enthusiastic about electricity, for instance producing and transmitting electricity.
After graduating in France, I plan to apply for a job as a Qualified Technician Expert in Power
and Engineering at EDC (Électricité du Cambodge) as well as lecturer part-time at the Institute
of Technology of Cambodia. If I were to fulfill this goal to work at EDC, I would have the
opportunity to devote myself to contributing to developments in electricity in Cambodia. This is
something I am passionate about as I wish for the field of electricity in Cambodia to reach a
standard of high quality, comparable to developed countries such as France. Moreover, in such
employment I will have the opportunity to deepen my understanding of theorems and
applications. Being a lecturer, I will be able to share this knowledge and all of my experiences
from France to many Cambodian students; hopefully my enthusiasm and energy to share will
inspire them as I have been inspired in this field.
Gaining my PHD will push me to a greater comprehension of my chosen field, Power
Engineering, and I hope that with this new drive I will be able to contribute to the creation of
new energy resources in Cambodia. Today even hybrid cars cannot provide the answers to the
energy crisis, as they are functioned by batteries and gasoline. This great need for an answer to
the world’s depleting resources is what led to my plan for my PHD; to invent a hybrid panel.
This hybrid panel will utilise both the sun’s rays and precipitation in order to produce electricity.
I believe that this will solve the problem of solar panels being inefficient during times of low
sunlight, as the hybrid panel will also be able to utilise rainwater and it will alternate between the
two in order to create a continuous power source.

The pursuit of my continued academic career in France is my priority, and I am excited about
learning more about France’s electricity systems. To be able to further my education in France
would be a huge opportunity due to the advanced electrical systems that are in place there. In
addition, there is a high quality of learning in France, and of course state of the art laboratories
and factories which will provide excellent educational and perhaps internship experiences
possible. My particular interest in 21st century solutions for energy needs is truly suited to
France as France is a leading country in such exploration of energy solutions, for example the
approach to clean nuclear power upon which France depends mostly of their electricity supply.
Although there are many excellent institutions in France, I have chosen to apply to the Ecole
Polytechnique because of its famed engineering institution, lifestyle and renowned academic
program. Many lecturers and seniors always raise the quality of the Training Engineers of Ecole
Polytechinque as one of its greatest assets. As a result, this institution greatly appeals to me, not
only in terms of the educational opportunities that would be provided to me, but also because of
the great lifestyle at the Ecole Polytechnique, particularly in terms of sport as I am a keen
swimmer. I will be energetic in my studies and I would be sure to make the most of all that the
school has to offer in order to gain a well-rounded and rewarding experience, at the same time as
doing my best to give back to Ecole Polytechnique and their community. I am greatly excited
about the wide variety of module choices that would be available to me, and feel that being given
a choice in my learning will only add to my passion for the subject.
The most attractive curriculum at Ecole Polytechnique to me is of course, Energy in the 21st
Century. This subject which is thoroughly related to my major will also push me to become even
more aware of the issues surrounding energy. In addition I hope to invent a new and eco-friendly
method of energy supply while attending this course through my creative renewable-energy
concepts.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that if I am given an opportunity to pursue my studies at the
Ecole Polytechnique, I will be able to achieve my goal of becoming a Qualified Power Engineer,
and through the application of my learned skills I will be able to be an asset to both France and
Cambodia. Additionally, I will achieve a long-term personal and professional goal graduating
from such an esteemed institution, and I will have gained knowledge that would otherwise not be
available to me, broadening my horizons and giving me the tools I need to improve life for those
around me with renewable energy solutions.

My study plan in China for bachelor degree

In order to reach a peak of success in life, it is required all human possessing a clear plan for any activities not only business or commerce but all also study plan especially a student who continue to study abroad like in China. How to produce study plan is absolutely different from each other depend on degree of knowledge and strategy of    each person. Now, I will demonstrate my study plan to study in China in Bachelor degree.
First of all, China is the destinations in which I desire to study for my bachelor degree due to there are many interesting parts urging me. In fact, China is one of the best lead countries at education in the world, especially engineering like electrical engineer which is suitable for me. Furthermore, Cambodia and China have had a good relationship together since a long time ago and china’s security is truthful enough. As a result being a Cambodian student, I strongly believe that I am really safe during 5 year. In addition, a Chinese culture is fascinating such as Chinese New Year, mid- autumn festival, cuisine (Chinese tea) and so on.
Secondly, that choosing a major is a vital part of my future and study plan has an influence on my life. Therefore, I must have satisfied reasons.  I have really been enthusiastic with electricity and all electrical components since I was five year old. Moreover, I was born in a country side where not sufficiently provided electricity did for the entire residents because of a lack of high technology although there are adequate resources. As what I have regarded my hometown and a hold country which have not developed an electrical field into a standard quality yet. Consequently, all of these above have encouraged me to become an electrical engineer.
After that, after realizing what I become, I next look for a university or institute which is appropriate to my major, electrical engineering. According to my research, I found that Harbin Institute of Technology is my first choice, Nanjing University of Science and Technology is my second choice and Shanghai Jiao Tong University is my third choice. Why I selected these schools is that the weather and accommodations are acceptable.
The next step, after receiving the school I desire, I have to mainly focus on my new language, Chinese and detail culture of china in the first year. I devote my time and myself trying my best to learn Chinese as much as possible in order to pass the test which you legally demand me for entering into freshman. That I can use Chinese fluently provide me a high opportunity to obtain a high technology from China. So my study is going to go without any obstacles or a little.
Following that, staring from that time, I have to concentrate on my major, electrical engineer to progress it rapidly. I only understand that accomplishing on electrical engineering field is only is I have a strong foundation of mathematics, physics and a little bit of chemistry. As I result I have to pay attention highly to these subjects in my freshman. For the following years, it is hard to realize which lessons is the most useful, so I should regularly connect with my professor and old generation for their advices. The most efficient way is to surf the information on the internet and library. Apart from academic study, the most efficient way to donate growing in my major is connection with other people for sharing experience, advice, documents and so on.
The finally mission, after graduating from China, a bachelor of electrical engineering, I must return back to my beloved country Cambodia. On behalf of a citizen of Cambodia, I have to devote myself to contribute to advance an electric field in to high standard in my country after educated a best technology from china. In addition, I desire to work in public institution like EDC.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that my lives will be bright if I follow my reasonable study plan by studying in university which is suitable for me ,graduating a bachelor degree of electrical engineering which is my major I have dreamed since I was a child from the country I like, China.

Does every child need a father?

Family could be an important part of every people’s life and sometimes in order to thrive the family, we might require to compose any needs and necessary components. As a result a question “Does every child need a father?” seems to be a main topic in some society and also everyday life.
To form a cheerfulness family we should or have to have a father, mother and children or sometime couple preferred not to have children. Consequently, father is important for the children before father plays and has such an important role in their lives. Ten to twelve are the important age for the child to absorb the outside society or ideologies. While they are trying to figure out how complicate the world is, father is the steering wheel or the sail for them to navigate the right path for their upcoming teenager hood. Dad helps them figure out what is right and what is wrong in their lives and he is also plays as a bread-winner for the family structure. He helps to provide the family for financial, physical safety or emotional support.
Furthermore, father has very much influence on children emotional. As an example, he helps encourage children when they are having trouble or feeling down. We can see that the child that doesn’t have a father seems to withdraw themselves from the other kids, for they would have thought that they are the unlucky kid that do not have father. They might feel hopeless, lost or even pessimistic.
In conclusion, I strongly support the idea even if not all children but most of them need to have a father. Father plays an important function in the family structure and he helps the child to thrive and hold their hand for some reason in order to help them choosing the right way

Children self esteem and self image

We might have been through the problem that we blame on the children nowadays like “what make you so stubborn? Or why do feel so shy even among your classmate?” While we keep blaming on that children of how there are too proud of themselves or even how they reflect themselves in a negative way we should look at some factors that cause children to have such those problems.

Family could be one factor for children to gain their own self-esteem or self-image. Since family especially parents spend much time with their children so they sometimes have spoiled their child. For example, most the single child get whatever they want so they would think that they are the luckiest child on earth.

Border Fence is bad policy

The department of Homeland Security has declared in 2004 that United States Government had built which they called the Border fence between The United States of America and Mexico. The project would have been finished by the end of 2008 and under the construction in the state of Arizona and California. This border fence has opposed many of the political and human right movement. There are six factors that lead the border fence to become a bad policy in the law of immigration especially to Mexican. The fence cost millions of dollar to build and it help nothing for preventing the illegal immigration from Mexican, furthermore it’s just prolong the overstayed period visitor in the United States that lead to the increase of in state illegal settler. It is also damaging the environment of the surrounding area.

Running head: Greedy

As I have watched the video clip called “Greed” I believe that

what I have thought before of greed is different. Greed means you want more

than you deserved. For example, some leaders in some countries have built such

a huge mansion even though they have no one to live in. in other monarchy

county such as England, they have a king and queen that have ruled the country

for centuries so some people concluded that they were greedy to take

advantages on other people. However, what about the business like Bill Gates,

the owner of the Microsoft Company that has made million dollars every year or

even the AFL CEO, I have thought that they were greedy too. As a result, after

the clip that I concluded that while doing business, greedy could lead to

motivation. For instance, Microsoft has made millions of dollar by selling us the

computer software and other high tech productions which help our life much

easier. They haven’t forced us to buy it instead they use marketing strategies to

convince us about their products. Business and society has to go together,

business help the society function properly and life runs smoothly while society

provides the material or money to help business in control. In conclusion, I

strongly agree with the idea in the video that business might not consider as

greed because they help improved our lived and the world.

Topic: Learning about other countries’ customs has no value for us as a Cambodian.Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

In our conclusion, we disagree the idea that learning othercountries’ custom has no value for us as a Cambodian. It’s worth learning about customs because it could broader our knowledge and especially let us see the world with different vision.
Culture is the way of life of a particular group of people at a particular region. As part of cultures, there are beliefs, traditions, and especially customs. Custom refers to a way of behaving or a belief which has been established for a long time. Each custom is different from another. If we compare to one custom to others, we can’t say that one is inferior to the others because each custom of a county has its own value. Indeed, we, as a Cambodian, think it’s worth learning other countries’ custom for few reasons.
First of all,its advantage is related to ASEAN economic community in the upcoming 2015. Its economy will be integrated so that itmeans all the 10 countries would share the whole economic growth together. Each citizen of ASEAN countries could go to work in either one among these counties. However, when other countries in SoutheastAsia have different custom from their own, there are some skills or knowledge they have to be aware of before all of these employees could work in a new environment. For example, they could learn English language before working abroad because it is used in all the countries.
Secondly, being aware of other customs would improve the process ofinvestmentagreement.Sincemost of the countries development around the world relies on economic nowadays, investment has taken an important role in the economic growth. Before investors makes decision to invest a particular country, they studies about the background, companies, law, etc. include custom in that country. After they made decision, they will put their capital and talk on agreement, but a little unawareness of greeting would be matter to the success. After all, we have to know our partners well in order to succeed in investment agreement.
Last of all, its value is avoiding culture shock. As we already mentioned above, custom is a part of culture of a particular group of people. Culture shock is the state that people approach into a new area and they find out that the way people act over there is offensive or unacceptable. Talking about two people from two different counties, they actually have two different customs. When one of them enter a new environment, they will feel shock because of the way people over there treat or behave is so different that he or she can adopt with in a very short period.

Traffic jam in Cambodia

Traffic in our country makes me crazy. I spent one hour drive to work every day. Our road not very big and not very small, but sometime it makes me stuck many hours. The problem is not all about the road, but it is also about the driver. There are many reasons that make traffic jam in our country. Firstly, the increasing number of people and transportation; nowadays the number of people living in the city has dramatically increased very quickly because some people come to do business and some others come to continue their educational study.  According to the statistic published on the website of Phnom Penh City Hall shows that, numbers of people in Phnom Penh are 1,501,725(Tuesday, 28-Jan-2014). This huge number of people generate overload vehicle on the streets. Imagine if one people have one vehicle; the traffic will be terrible, right? Secondly is disobeying of the traffic Laws and circular of city hall; breaking the traffic laws and the circular of city hall cause traffic accident and traffic jams. Some people do not know much about how to obey the traffic laws while traffic policemen are also not committed to appropriate implement the existing traffic laws. Some people do not obey the traffic light or traffic sign. Some car’s owner parking their car on street side along the road; these are the main causes of traffic jams. Moreover, some restaurants that are running businesses along the roads do not have parking lot for their guests so that their guests’ vehicles to park on the road sides; leading to become narrow roads and traffic jams. Truly, Traffic jams are the major concern for people because it heavily affects to people’s life in the city. Therefore, we together should obey the traffic laws and respect each other while traveling on the street in order to reduce traffic jams in our city. Last but not least is repairing and constructing the drainage system, road and bridge; many roads in Phnom Penh are narrow. Some of them are under repairing such the drainage system. Not only is that, bridges also under construction. The continuous processes of road and bridges repairing and constructing are the causes of traffic jams. Our country is the developing country so there are many roads, bridges to be built. Furthermore, majority of roads in the city are not divided or separated from each other; for instance, walking side, motor side and car side. In conclusion as a Cambodian people we should help our country. Some of this problem can be solved by us.  One person makes a big change. Love our country, Help our country!

My favorite place at Mondulkiri Province

Mondulkiri is my favorite place for three reasons. First it has a lot of beautiful national place. There are many waterfalls there such as Bou Sra Waterfall, Chrey Thom Waterfall, Chrey Yos Waterfall, Lak Pok Bras Waterfall…I can play with my friends; it can reduce stress. I also enjoy the fresh air there. The forest is also very interesting. There are many trees and animals; seeing them make me feel relax. When I go there, I always go to the forest and learn about the nature. Second Dei Ey, Dei Ey is an ethnic PhnongCommunity living in the middle of the Mondulkiri Protected Forest. They have a very old culture and living style. I can get a new knowledge by learning about them. I spent two days live in this community last year, and the Phnong people are very friendly. They also help our country to be more and more interesting for foreigner. Last but not least in mondulkiri has a large amount of growing land like growing coffee, rubber, and fruit. In Mondulkiri has a very good land with a high quality for many kinds of plant. I always spend a long time there because of that place, walking, looking at the trees and tasting the fruit. In conclusion Mondulkiri has many good places to visit. That why it becomes my favorite place.

The Most Favorite Trip of Mine

The memorable trip that can bring my happiness out of my heart, stress out of my brain and relaxed feeling to my mind is a trip Sihanouk Ville, the southwest rising star of Cambodia. Sihanouk Ville is a really great spot that is famous for its beautiful beach with delicious seafood, so both national and international guests always enjoy going there in every time of the year. For me, I just had a great trip with my friends there, about three weeks ago. This trip made me realize that Sihanouk Ville was a heaven of humans. Sitting on the beach, watching the round red sun setting down slowly beyond the sea surface, and feeling the sea wind blowing to my whole body made me so comfortable and relaxed. As the waves blew from one to another, it madethe sound that inspired my mind to think back from the time I was just a small crazy kid to this time I had become an adult, and this whole time seemed just like a blink of an eye. This feeling made me start to miss my happy childhood, but we couldn't turn back the time, so let's just enjoy my present time that I had.As the evening came, it was the great time to enjoy swimming and playing in the sea because the weather was not as hot as the noon and the sea water was warm enough to enjoy. On the beach, we played with the sand by using the sand to make different pictures, sand castles, and used it to burry my friend's body. In the sea, we enjoyed playing with the water and waves. As the big waves came, we jumped, shouted, and laughed, and sometimes we got hit by those waves and fell down to the sea, but we were still happy and enjoyed it a lot. It wasa really happy memorable experience that I'm so grateful to have with my friends. The happy time really passed quickly; eventually the night sky came, and the cold night wind started to blow down. It was time to get out of the sea and find something to eat.Seafood was our best choice after we had played on the beach like that. While I was eating the seafood, I could feel the night cold wind blowing across the dark sea to my wet body, and it made our hot seafood become more delicious to eat. After the delicious dinner, the good thing was to lie down along the beach, watch the bright white moon in the dark sky, and have a great happy conversation with my friends. At the same time, I could feel the fresh-night-sea wind surrounded me which made my whole body became lighter and lighter, my eyes just became heavier and heavier and started to fall down slowly, so then I didn't realize that I fell asleep unconsciously until my friends woke me up and said that it was time to go back. To conclude, this memorable trip to Sihanouk Ville is one of my best trips that I can release my stress, relax my mind, and enjoy the happy time together with my friends.

How to become an Outstanding Student

Being a student is an easy task that everyone can do, but being an outstanding one is a difficult task that every student dreams of. In order to change from a normal student into an outstanding one, you need to achieve these six methods. First of all,you should study hard and smart. If you only studyhard but not smart, sometimes you can waste too much effort and only receive a little result back, but if you study hard plus smart, you don’t need to spend that much effort on itand still you can get good result as you want. Studying smart means that you need to study the right things at the right time.Final Exam, for example, is probably the difficult test for students, but all you need to do is reviewing the important lessons during your study or predicting what can your teacher probably put on that exam, so you can focus on those points. This method can save you so much effort and return you with good result.Second, you need to be punctual in the class. This means that you need to attend every class on time to show that you respect the time and respect the teachers. As one proverb said "Time is money", so it's usual that an outstanding student respect his or her time.Third, you need to be a responsible learner. In class, you need to pay attention to teachers and classmates when they explain or share useful knowledge to the class. If you want others to pay attention to you, you must pay attention to them first. Furthermore, paying attention can also show that you respect them. Another point is that you need to be responsible for every work that you have done. If you are right, you should prove that you are right, but when you are wrong, you should honestly accept the mistake and not put your own mistake to others. Moreover, a responsible learner must be responsible for all the works or assignments given by the professor. You must try your best to do them instead of depending on others to do them for you. Fourth, you also need to be an independent learner. As an independent learner, you need to do self-study by yourself. Sometimes you can review your lessons or spend time to read the text books at home. Furthermore, you also need to research more at home to enlarge your knowledge from day to day. However, you must not separate yourself from others. You still need to be cooperative with other students because teamwork is really important in every situation. You must not be over-confidence on yourself and forget about other students, and you must try to work together and help others to become better as you by explaining them when they don't understand or sharing useful ideas together. Fifth, you need to be curious. During study, you should ask questions when you're not clear about something. Don’t hesitate to ask when you have doubt in your mind. Sometimes you can have different ideas

from your teachers, so you should ask them to explain you their ideas, and you should explain them about your ideas too. That can make sure whose ideas are the correct ones. The teachers' ideas are not always right. Finally, you need to learn how to release the stress. Studying a lot can sometimes make you headache or stressed, so it's usual that you can find some ways to release the stress like playing games, listening to music, talking with your friends, or doing sports, etc. Usually, you can have really hard time in studying, but you should find something to have fun sometimes to refresh your brain and can continue to study more. Just remember that you're not a robot, you should have your own personal time too.To conclude, it's not that easy to change from a normal student to an outstanding one, and it's required you so much efforts from physical to metal; however, you can stillpossibly become one when you follow these six methods correctly.

Playing Facebook

Facebook is one of the best social networks in the world that provide the users with many advantages in daily lives. The good thing about Facebook is that we can communicate or chat with friends, relatives, members, co-workers, or our sweet heart in such an instant time. Because of this quick communication, people now can share news or useful information as fast as possible to others. For example, the news about flood in Cambodia can be shared to people in USA through Facebook to let them know about the situation in Cambodia. Another good thing is that we can keep in touch with friends, best friends, relatives, family, or our special person even they are not here by our sides because we can still chat and have conversation together through Facebook no matter where they are or what they do. Moreover, playing Facebook can let us make more new friends around the globe more than we can imagine. Users in Asia can also be friends with new players in Europe through Facebook. Sometimes we can share our cultural knowledge or religious ideas together in order to understand the differences between us. Furthermore, Facebook is a library of knowledge which contains awesome ideas, inspirational theories, general knowledge and useful information that we haven't ever thought about before. These new knowledge can inspire us to look at society in a new perspective, so we can think more positively and logically. Finally, Facebook can also entertain people in their leisure time. Beside from the information and knowledge, Facebook contains thousands of games and applications that be played online with other users around the world. People can enjoy playing games while chatting with friends at the same time, so they don't have to be bored anymore. To conclude, Facebook is a worldwide social network which can possibly improve our knowledge, let us keep in touch with friends, and entertain us at the same time.

Children play sports while studying

Children should be encouraged to play sports while studying because of four useful reasons. First of all, playing sports in such young age can make children start to feel interesting in sports. When they are interesting in it, they will continue to play sports from then on. Playing sports can be considered as doing exercise, so while the children are playing sports; it seems that they are doing exercise at the same time also. That's why they can achieve good health as they do exercises. Second, playing sports can inspire the children to be competitive since young age. As we have already known that sport is a competition to find the winner, so when children play sports, they will try to compete and challenge each other to be the winners. This competitive spirit also makes the children try their best and find any solutions or strategies to win against others. Third, playing sports teach them how to work as a team. In order to win the competition in sports, a good strategy is to work in team, so children will learn that teamwork is necessary in any of situation, and then they will learn quickly to adapt and cooperate with each other in order to succeed. In other words, we can say that playing sport can create a team-work spirit within the children in their young age. Finally, playing sports can be considered as an entertaining game that can release stress. For instance, children can choose to play football with their friends when they are bored or when they get pressure from studying, and it's a good thing that children can choose playing sports to release stress instead of doing other things that might be harmful. To conclude, these reasons show that playing sports is a really good activity for children while studying, so a good choice for us is to encourage the children to play sport all together; however, we should be responsible not to let the children play sports too much because it also can return them with negative sides.

Alcohol Advertisement

In Cambodia, when we turn the television on, we sometimes hear the words "Bravo, Delicious, Proud of Cambodia" in the alcohol advertisementson TV. It is true that those ads can bring the beer or wine companies more customers and give support to the TV station to keep running on, but the problem is that these ads also encourage more and more people to drink the alcohol products, even the teenagers. That's why people start to debate about this issue whether the alcohol ads should be allowed or banned on the TVs.
For my own opinion, I think that the alcohol advertisements need to be banned from the TVs due to the bad effects from those ads. First of all, the alcohol ads encourage more and more people to consume the alcohol products. As we have already known that the main purpose of the advertisements is to make more customers use their products, so alcohol ads is also the same. However, the problem is that drinking too much alcohol doesn't bring any advantages to health, but just problems. And when more people drink the alcohol, more people will also get health problems from it. Another issue is when people drink too much alcohol, they are not conscious enough to drive the transportation, and it becomes a major reason of traffic accident in everyday lives in Cambodia.  It would be better if those ads are banned from the TV programs, so people can somehow not willingly to drink the alcohol drinks.
Second, the alcohol ads can also effect to young children and teenagers when they are watching the TV programs. Children and teenagers are the age when they always want to try something new, so they probably want to try the alcohol drink, too. For teenagers, they start to enjoy drinking with their peers when they have the chance: having party, friend gathering, wedding ceremony, or even traditional festival. If they just rarely drink, it's not really a problem; however, the problem will occur when they drink too much and too often. They can waste both their time and money on drinking in just-for-fun purpose. Sometimes with the unconsciousness after drinking, they can possibly do something illegally to laws or traditional: stealing, fighting, cursing other, or even having sex with others. As a result, the alcohol ads should be banned from viewing to the teenagers or children who can use it wrongly.
Third, those ads just exaggerate their products too much. Some ads say that their beers or wines are really good for health, can fight against other disease, or prevent the customers from getting heart attack, etc. I think they use this style to attract the customer, but their products have only quantity, not quality at all. How can the wines or beers cost less than a dollar have those much advantages? It's really ridiculous. Sometimes the alcohol ads invite their customers to tell what they think about the products, and those customers also reply with something ridiculous. They say that the drink is sweet and easy to drink, and it also smells great as baked cake. The truth is that the drink is difficult to drink and smell just like alcohol, and it's not that good for health as the ads say.We are the consumers, so we need to think carefully by ourselves to whether in it or not.
Last but not least, the alcohol ads is just too opposite from our Khmer religion, the Buddhism. As we have already known about the Buddha's pharma of five Silo: not to kill, not to steal, not to lie, not to have sex illegally, and not to drink alcohol, and Cambodia is one Buddhism country which 90% of the population are the Buddhists and we also put in the Constitution that Buddhism is our national religion, but why are the alcohol ads still allowed to be broadcast-ed on TV program over the country? It's not that bad if we just drink the alcohol not publicly, but the ads are just too much and too public on TV that make other people view Cambodia as a drinking country. All in all, the alcohol ads are really against the Buddhism, our religion, so we no longer need them on TV anymore.

To summarize, the alcohol ads are just too much on Cambodian TV. The presence of those ads just encourage more people , include the teenagers, to enjoy drinking the alcohol more and more, and it doesn't only destroy their health, but it can also be the main reason for traffic accident, anarchy within society and the strongly opposite to our Khmer religion, the Buddhism. That's why the ads need to be banned in any forms on TV programs. Lastly, we are the viewers and consumers, so we need to think responsibly for what we see and do.

How I come to college

I graduated from high school in 2012. I was an average student. When I’m grade 11 I was very brave and study hard. I have ever thought about college that I study hard because I want to study one subject in my dream. I was in grad twelve my study weak, because my family has some problems about financial. My aunt that lives with us was heavily sick the doctor could not takecare her. My parents paid a lot of money for her, but she still died. After she died my parents didn’t have enough money to supply our family, so I was very difficult to study until   I become an average student. When I graduated from high school I always think about the college. Sometimes I think that if I go on to study at college my parents agree with me or disagree with me. I have two younger sisters more, so they need money to study at high school also. One day I talk to my parents about I want to study at college. My parents agree with me and allowed me to study at college. My father says that he will try to earn money for me to pay for study. My mother worried about me, she afraid I didn’t study hard like I was at high school. I promised with her I will study hard until success in my life. Although my family is an average family but my parents still pushed me to school and love me, especially my father he always loves me and gives some things that I want.

At first before I started to study at high school my parents prepare some things for me that related to me about study at college. I didn’t need rent house, because my house in Ta kmao town near Phnom Penh. It’s easy for me to stay in the same house close my parents also. I asked my parents for buy a motorbike for ride to school. My fathom buy a new motor for me I was very happy. It’s the first time for me that I have my own motor. One more I can drive it to the college easily. After I discussed with my parents about “what subject did I study?”  I decided to choose two subjects for study together first I study rural development, second I study English skill. My parents agree with me, but my mother still worried about me that I could not study two subjects together on the same time. I try to explain her about how will I study when I started step
by step. I was very happy that my mother stops think about this and she encouraged and supported me to study at college.
The first time for me to study at college I fell happy and some new friend so kind for me. It is the first one that made me try to study. I have the confidence for myself that I can guess or
See the new life that beautiful and bright.
Study at college so difficult for me, because some subject talking about the lessons that study at high school. Almost the documents use in English, so I need to research and find more new documents from the internet and book shop. Although it’s difficult, but           no problem for me, I can do it. I just difficult for study, but another are better. My parents always give benefits for me every time that I need.
Since I started to study at college until now I got a lot of knowledge from college. I will try more and more for my future to achieve my gold that I always dream and I don’t want my parents’ disappointed, because they work hard to find money to supply my study.

Topic: Disadvantages of motorbikes

Motorbikes have a lot of disadvantages for people every day. Everyone can see about the problem of motors. When you buy a new motor it’s very expensive for you, but when you want to sell your motor it’s so cheap. After you buy the motor, you need to expense more money almost every day. You spend for petro, oil and pay for tax every year. Motorbikes can breakdown all the time when you ride them, so you always concern about your safety. Another way when your motor has the problem, you embarrassed when you drive on the way that has a lot of people and you need to fix them a lot of money. Sometime when you ride your motor in the rain it can be stunk because of your eyes cannot see far away and difficult to control your motor. Motors are limited passengers space, limited luggage capacity, much greater threat of injury from collisions and mechanical failure, lack of visibility to other motorists, exposure to elements, limited driving season in some climates, ease of theft, lack of stereo or communication while riding and the requirement of personal safety equipment. One more you can see every day have a lot of accidents that happened for motors, because when the rider drive so fast it easy to fail and hit each other and then they maybe die. If you want your life safety when you drive the motor you should wear helmet. According to this paragraph you will understand about the disadvantages of motorbikes

Topic: My Motorbike

My motorbike has a lot of advantages for my life now a day. If we talk about my motorbike first I would like to talk about reliabity it can take me to everywhere that I want to go and it also easy to travel very much then car and example in phnom penh there are a lot of small narrow road so every day car always stuck in the traffic jam but motorbike it is easier then car a lot because it small so it can easy to travel in small and stuck way then car and talk about that it also can delivery cause I always delivery some goods for my mother and it easy to delivery and spend a little bit of gasoline. If we talk about gasoline we talk about expense it also spend some thing for that because motor and car also use gas oil for engine the same but motor spend more and more a little than car very much because motorbike is a small machine so it spend a little of gasoline and oil not like car it spend a lot of money for that and another spend is tax some car maybe spend for tax for 250% or maybe more than but motorbike just spend only 150% of that bike so it spend low price. Let talk about appearance motorbike is the handsome one of transportation it small and look cool for teenager and some bike is fit to the old guy or lady so it is the most favorite of transportation for me. And start to talk about cost it the cheap one of transportation so that why I chose to buy motorbike it is just around 3000$ and cheaper than that it is the medium price so it is a lot of cheaper than car and it easy to buy and easy to sell some bike we buy low and sell is higher than our old prices. The last one more thing is maintenance we talk about fixed and repair is also spend a low cost for that and no need to repair usually.

In all the I think that my motor bike is very useful and very importance is I don’t have my bike I don’t anything for travel and come to school like everyday so I need my bike very much.

Topic: Write a two-page paper in which I tell the story of how I come to college

When I was in high school, I always think about college. I think that how can I come to college? Can I study at college? How about my parents, they agree or disagree?
I graduated from high school in 2012. I got a good result because of my study hard. My mother just a seller and my father is a teacher at high school, so they difficult to earn money to supply the family. I think my family didn’t have ability pushed me to college. My father is the teacher, so he about important of study. My mother wanted me to quit study and help her to sell for earn money and she think that the girl do not study a lot is not good. I cannot say some because she is my mother, but I really want her to push me to college so much. My father tries to explain my mom about me until she agrees with him and confirm me to study at college. They think that according to my ability I can study well at college also. They didn’t want me like them to work very hard for money.
Before I started at university my parents prepared much for me such as: They bought a motorbike for I ride to study, they rent a room of house for me, because we are from the country we didn’t have a flat or apartment for ourselves in Phnom Penh. They bought some equipment of study all kind for me. I decided to study English skill, because now a day English is use almost in the world. If I study English I can find a good job and if I want to study another skill it’s easy for me, because all the subjects are also use English. I told my parent about these and my parents agree with me also and allowed me to study English at the college. However I can study at college I still think when I far away from parents how difficult I am! I have never left from them. I start to learn about the life without my parents near me take care me. Although I still happy that I can study like my dream. I can have a beautiful life and bright life like another people, especially people who rich.  I have a confidence for my study and I promised with my parent and myself that I will try to study hard to become successful in my life. My family will be better than before after I graduate from college, because I can help them to earn money for supply our family.

Now I am in college I felling happy because I know a lot of new friend and teacher, but it’s so difficult for me to study English. At high school I just know English a little bite, so I need to study hard every day. Study English skill I need to know a lot about how to writing and reading and speaking also. Itry to research and find another documents from internet for improve my knowledge more. Because of my study hard now I can study English better than I started to study. Although I still try to study two years more to get degree.
While I’m studying at college I’m very difficult about money, because I need to buy document almost days. I’m not enough money to buy them. I sometimes don’t eat anything. I get the money to buy them. Fortunately my aunt that lives in Phnom Penh know about the problem of me, she gives some benefits for me. I really happy that I have enough money to supply my study and one more I can help my parent better also.My aunt always asks me about how I study when she call me. She does very well for me and she always takes care and supports me to study until now. She always gives money when I don’t have. It is one more thing that encourage me study hard more and more. For two years more at the college I need to study step by step. First I need to search more documents that related to subject. Second I will study part time for improve my knowledge. Third I will find the part time job to get the experience that help me to find another job that better when I graduate from college.
Since I have started at the college I think I will successful in my life that I always dream when I was in high school. I will give these experiences to my younger sister and teach her. I hope that I can do my parents happy and happiness.

There is too much Traffic Jam in Phnom Penh

To my own observation, the traffic jam is really a big concern for Phnom Penh, and other crowded locations in the countries, since most roads are not available for more expansion, whereas the population of city dwellers keeps increasing along with the purchasing of moremotors and cars for their own travels since public transportations are not yet available.
Currently, there are about 1.5 million people living in Phnom Penh alone, while the Cambodia’s total population almost reaches 15 million covering to 24 provinces-cities. The population growth is increasing rapidly from year to year, the constructions are also booming by that way, and what is worst, for example. 800,000 motorbikes, 170,000 vehicles are increased (according to a report from the Cambodia’s Transportation Ministry few months ago), and probably thousands of uncounted bikes too are being commuted, filling all confined roads in Phnom Penh, and the crowded areas.
On the other hand, we observe that the people are still lacking of law driving education, and some of them are not respect/ obey the law while driving. And most of drivers drunk while driving and made accident that become to have traffic jam on the road too.  Moreover, they are not responding with their driving mistakes and rapidly they make their activities again and again. Although, some people they were trained to understand about the driving law but they still make mistakes.

As there are multiple causes to the problem, the solution requires multiple approaches as well. There are obvious solution based on what works in developed countries, for example proper city planning, build more roads, install highway and subway systems and other. These are all good ways to improve Phnom Penh traffic jams, In addition, all people who can drivers must trained to know about law of driving at Driving School.

Future Plan after Exam

Studying English at PUC it make me gain a lot of knowledge and I feel confident to speak English to the foreign teachers. Moreover, I can practice a lot of activities such as the group discussions, presentations, writing paragraphs, quizzes, and the final exam. After going through three months of my studying English part time level 4 at PUC I will have the final exam soon that make me try to study hard to pass my final exam. When my exam finish, my family and I will plan to visit Siem Reap province, which is a place that I can see the Angkor Wat temple, Batey Srey, Ankor Thom and other temples. Besides it make me fell relax and happy to have a good holiday with my family. On the other hand, before my exam result post at school, my classmates and I are going to visit Sihanouk Ville for few days and we will have a nice party at the beach such as dancing, drinking, swimming, and ride the boat to see the nice islands in Sihanouk province. Furthermore, at night we are going to have a delicious dinner at the Golden Restaurant, and then we will ride tuk-tuk or bus to take around to see the situation at night in Kompong Som province. After we finished the nice trip over there. I am going to continue to study the new courses at PUC with my friends. In conclusion, after finished the final exam, students should have a good plan for their holiday to visit the nice places with their friends or family that can make them feel relax and fresh after they study hard the whole three months.

My Weekend at Preah Sihanouk Province

From my point of view I would like to write about my great weekend trip, this week I visited Kompong Som province with my parents and relatives that is a nice province and have a lot of places to visit that are always make attracting to tourist to entertain in this province. When my parents and I arrived there we ate the sea food, swimmed, played football on the beach and have a nice party in the evening with our relatives and my father’s friends that they are living at there. We left Phnom Penh at around 6:00 pm on Saturday morning and we arrived there at 11:17 pm. Sometimes time my parents and I hardly ever have planned to visit to other provinces because it is very difficult to find the sea food to eat. Actually, when we went to the Kompong Som province we always went to visit the attraction places such as Deum Chhrey Beach, Independence Beach, Kbal Chhay Waterfall, Koh Pors, Koh Rong Island, Ochheuteal Beach, Otres Beach, and Phnom Leu Beach. My family and I often went there by using with our personal car because it made us easy drove to visit around the Kompong Som province. Therefore, in Sihanouk province, there are a lot of luxury hotels, nice guest houses which are easy for us to stay for our holiday in the weekend at there. In brief, Kompong Som province is the attraction place for people go wish to go there during their holiday weekend.

The Bou Sra Waterfall in Mondulkiri province, Cambodia I want to visit

The place that I would like to visit is Mondulkiri province. Mondulkiri is an eastern province of Cambodia, which is the most sparsely populated province in the whole country although being the largest province in Cambodia. The province is chock full of natural beauty, with thickly forested mountains, powerful waterfalls and the lush green rolling hills of the western side.
Despite the growing deforestation, especially due to the valuable minerals remaining in the deep red, fertile ground, Mondulkiri has still one of the biggest successional woodlands of Cambodia. Except being in Sen Monorom, we'll find deep pure jungle, with a huge variety of flora and fauna. We may also find gigantic and beautiful waterfalls, where you can take an empowering shower; with the impressive place is Bou Sra Waterfall. Waterfall Busra  is located in Pich Chenda district about 43 kilometers northeast of Mondulkiri provincial town, Sen Monorom. Busra is considered by many to be the most beautiful waterfall in Mondulkiri. The waterfall is divided into three stages:   First Stage: The waterfall fall is 8 to 12 meters high and 15 meters wide in rainy season and 10 to 15 meters wide in dry season. Second Stage: The waterfall fall is 15 to 20 meters high and 20 meters wide in rainy season and 18 to 25 meters high and 13 meters wide in dry season. The second stage is 150 meters from the first stage.  Third Stage: The speed of waterfall is faster than the second stage. This stage cannot be reached because it is in the thick forest. There are no marked paths and dangerous wildlife inhabits the area. From my point of view, Bou Sra Waterfall is the interesting and beautiful place I want to visit in the future.
